I’m an independent freight agent based in Portland, Oregon. I work with shippers moving freight nationwide.

I bring almost 7 years in freight and 23 years in legal affairs. That experience shapes how I look at a shipment: what is being agreed, who makes each decision, and which details need to be clear before the load moves.

Legal affairs taught me to read the terms, check the paperwork and ask who is responsible. Freight gives those questions a practical test on every load.

Why The Supported Shipper exists

I help shippers understand freight, make better decisions, and save money.

I explain rates, carrier selection, modes, paperwork and shipping relationships in plain language. You should understand what you’re paying for, how decisions are made, and which questions to ask before a load moves.

Clear information helps you weigh the options and spot avoidable charges. Savings depend on the shipment and the choices available; they are not guaranteed.

The education is free and ungated. You do not need to become a customer or buy a newsletter subscription to read it.

When you want individual help

Lane reviews, one-time advice, monthly advisory and project support are separate services. We agree the scope, fee and terms before work begins. A newsletter subscription does not include advisory access. Advisory work is advice only. If you want me to quote the freight, you ask. I don't pitch it.
